My Journey to becoming a life coach
If you've ever felt like you're carrying the weight of everyone else's needs while quietly losing yourself, I want you to know—you are not alone.
For many years, I believed being a good wife, mother, employee, student, caregiver, and friend meant putting everyone else first. As a wife of over 20 years and a mother of four, I spent years balancing family life, maintaining a home, building a career, and continuing my education. Like so many women, I became all too familiar with burnout, constantly trying to do it all while putting my own needs last.
At the same time, I was building a career in human services, where I've had the privilege of serving individuals and families in my community for more than a decade. It was there that I discovered my greatest passion wasn't simply helping people—it was helping women. Time and time again, women trusted me with their stories of burnout, overwhelm, grief, and trying to balance it all. They often shared that they felt safe opening up to me, and I realized that creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported wasn't just something I did—it was who I was.
As my passion grew, so did my desire to deepen my knowledge. While raising my family and working full-time, I earned my Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and I am currently completing my Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Life Coaching, expected in May 2027. Along the way, I've also had the privilege of learning from respected mentors in the life coaching community, allowing me to combine evidence-informed coaching practices with years of professional experience and real-life understanding.
Looking back, I can see that every season of my life—motherhood, marriage, burnout, my career, and my education—was preparing me for this work. Together, they became the foundation of The Renewal Collective and my passion for helping women rediscover themselves and create lives rooted in balance, purpose, and renewal.
My Lived Experience
I don't coach from theory alone.
I coach from lived experience.
I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed by the constant demands of balancing motherhood, marriage, work, education, and everyday life.
I know what it's like to lose yourself while caring for everyone else.
And I know what it's like to carry a kind of grief that isn't always recognized.
My father and my brother both struggle with addiction. Loving someone who is still alive while grieving the relationship you wish you had is a unique kind of heartbreak. Through that journey, I've learned that grief isn't limited to death. We also grieve relationships, dreams, life transitions, unmet expectations, changing identities, and even the versions of ourselves we've had to leave behind.
Those experiences have deepened my compassion and strengthened my belief that healing doesn't mean forgetting or pretending everything is okay. It means learning to move forward with hope, resilience, and support.
I've learned that renewal is possible—not because life suddenly becomes easier, but because healing begins when we feel seen, supported, and empowered to take the next step.
Because renewal isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to yourself.
